Am I still eligible for the test if I have any disease or illness?

If you have any health issues that could make the regular blood draw risky for you, especially if you are taking blood-thinning medications or if you have a blood clotting disorder, discuss the safety of taking the test with your attending physician.

If you have received blood transfusion or gamma globulin blood derivatives (such as intravenous immunoglobulin preparations), a minimum of six months should pass between the treatment and the GlycanAge test.

If you recently suffered from pneumonia, flu or other acute infection with complications, wait for a minimum of one month's time after the disease has been cured before giving blood samples for a GlycanAge test.

You are eligible to take the test if you suffer from other diseases/illnesses. However, please report any other disease and/or therapy to your GlycanAge advisor, as some can affect your GlycanAge result.
