Is there any health risk associated with taking the test?

This test is not riskier than a usual blood withdrawal. If you have any health issues that could make the regular blood draw risky for you, especially if you are taking blood-thinning medications or if you have a blood clotting disorder, discuss the safety of taking the test with your attending physician.
